Your professional details are listed online in the PEM member directory.

Your online profile

Your details are listed online in the member directory on the PEM website.

Customers can locate you based on your profession (translator or interpreter), your language combinations or your city of residence.

Your profile includes the following:

  • Name and city of residence.
  • Contact information (email, telephone, website).
  • A brief CV.
  • Your language combinations.
  • Your areas of specialisation.

Our member directory is continuously updated. It includes professional translators or interpreters who are practising their profession legally. When one of our members leaves PEM for any reason, their name is removed from the directory.

Manage your profile online

You have direct access to your online profile, 24/7, via the myPEM platform.

You can log in to your profile using your username and password, and update it as soon as any of your details change.

Certification e-Seal and member plaque

You get your own translation certification e-Seal and a PEM member plaque.

Translation certification e-Seal

You can certify translations for your customers with the e-Seal, the electronic seal linked to your profile on myPEM.

Translations certified by the PEM seal are accepted by:

  • All private bodies in Greece and abroad.
  • All state bodies abroad.
  • State bodies in Greece on a case-by-case basis.

At PEM we continuously strive to secure legal equivalency for our members, so that our seal is accepted by all state bodies in Greece.

Your member plaque

You can get your own special member plaque with the PEM and FIT (International Federation of Translators) logos.

Place the plaque at a prominent spot at your place of business, so that your customers know you are an active PEM member.

The plaque costs €25. To get your plaque, contact our secretariat.

Professional opportunities

You become part of a community of translators, interpreters and subtitlers and expand your customer base.

New professional horizons

By becoming a PEM member, you gain credibility and increase your visibility in the market. The long history of the Association as well as its cooperation with the International Federation of Translators (FIT) and the European Legal Interpreters and Translators Association (EULITA) opens up new professional horizons for you.

You can expand your activities, increase your market share and develop new professional opportunities.

Cooperation with colleagues

You are part of a network of professional translators and interpreters, in Greece and abroad, who support each other.

Our members show a preference to their PEM colleagues when seeking new partners for other language combinations or services.

Moreover, PEM shares with its members any valid and trustworthy ads from existing members, companies or other institutions looking for new partnerships, either by email or social media posts.

Supporting your profession

You get expert advice and participate in the decision-making process shaping the future landscape for translation.

If you need advice or guidance on any type of professional matter, you can contact PEM.

Our most experienced members, the PEM Board, as well as our Scientific Committee will make every effort to help resolve your concerns, from bad payers to member complaints.

As soon as you become a member, you are included in a closed Facebook group. There, you can request and receive practical solutions from your colleagues.

Moreover, you are informed about events, conferences and any other news affecting our industry.
